So- here we go.
For the past few weeks (While we've been away from blogging), Will and I have been planning a cross country extravaganza! We depart this week and head to Brevard, NC for a semi-family reunion. We will be lounging in the mountains, white water rafting, and all around relaxing with family. After our 3 day bout of R&R, we begin the real trek. We will be driving from NC to San Francisco, CA! Along the way we will be stopping at Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, and Kings Canyons Natl Park. We will be making the entire trek in our little Carolla, Arty, and will have several long driving days- as in 20 hour days! The entire trip will last 11 days, and will cover approximately 5,700 miles. By the time we get back, Will will have a mere 48 hours until Med school commences.
I know. It sounds insane. But we like to drive, and we've been dying to get out and see a different part of the country for a while now- so here we go! We will try to update the blog with pictures as we go. We will see lots of different sights and are looking forward to a different taste of Americana. Plus, we hear that med school is pretty busy-- Who Knew?? So we are grabbing life by the horns (or rather by the steering wheel) and just going.
Oh- BTW, we are beginning to look at houses to buy. We put an offer on a beautiful house that felt perfect for us, but low and behold it didn't work out. Keep your fingers crossed we find something!
